Ain't that the truth! Not only electronic checks, but surveillance can be done with a device you can't even see now. They will be watching you in your house and cab next, since GW Bush just took away our 4th Amendment rights to privacy on phones and email. 24/7 surveillance is the next logical step and right before implanted microchips under our skin with thought images recorded, lol. If you do anything out in public now, it may be publically recorded live. Get used to it.

I don't mind doing right in public though, since it balances dispatchers pressuring you to speed which is a safety risk in a big truck. :biggrin_25524:

I think the internet will be overhauled next. The powers that be will tear down the old net and put up a new one. They'll say they're doing it to eliminate fraud, but of course, this is just a smoke and lights excuse.

What they will be really doing comes down to just two things:

    1. Eliminate anonymity. Yeap, they want to be able to identify all users, especially bloggers, who use the net. This will allow them to break down the doors of those who give out truthful information that, although useful, is deemed "dangerous". For example: If I post something negative about C.R. England here at this website today, there is nothing the great insiders at CRE can do about it, at least against me personally. Sure, they will sic a poser on me to attack me with ad hominem arrows in a lame attempt to damage my credibility, but this is simply a pin prick. If they really want to shut my trap, they will have to hunt me down and then PROVE I am harming them in some way through my posts. And even then they will have to convince a judge in whichever country I'm in to force me to close my filthy sewer. But even this will be tough, as all I have to do is make sure they can't get that proof through certain human alarms and electronic "trip wires". I already have these in place, and I will see any phish coming way before he will see me.

Well, my ability to post the truth is going to be eliminated.

The new version of the net will make sure CRE can hunt me down and sue me or have me thrown in jail if my posts "hurt" them in some way, such as causing their trucks to sit longer than planned because I talk guys out of going there. CRE's lawyers will be able to find me because if I want to post on the net, I will have to jump through certain hoops, meaning I will have to give out certain critical information any big-wig capitalist can use to find me and make an example of me if I tell certain truths that cause them economic pain.

Axiom: If you post information on the new net in the future that hurts a capitalist's ability to pad his pockets, you will be hunted down and made an example of for all to see. This will take the form of you being sued, being thrown in a cage for a while (and having the yoke of a criminal record being placed around your neck forever), or both.

    2. Eliminate what is deemed "dangerous information". Information is power, and when the new net arrives, the powers that be will be able to filter out certain information at the nodes (where the supercomputers and the routers are located). This is information you can use to make informed decisions and empower yourself to possibly get out from under the thumb that is holding your temple to the ground. When the new net arrives, a whole new smoke screen will be put in place to eliminate your access to information on any story or issue. You will get only the information the powers want you to see, and that information will be custom-tailored for their purposes. Your opinions will be manipulated, as will be your forming of those opinions. They will steer you down the "right path" through propaganda and the ol' "lie of omission". The NAZIs in Germany would be proud.

It's illegal even today to post images of flag-draped coffins coming back from Iraq. In the future that law won't be needed, as big brother will filter out those images before they hit the net. Today if you post those, you go to jail. Tomorrow you will still go to jail, the only difference will be the pics never make it to the net for us to look at and then say "Hey--let's get the #### out of Iraq."

Keep the people blind and you keep them eating out of your hand. Keep them ignorant and naive and you keep them stable and under control. Stability is key in any society, after all. Stability must be maintained at all costs. In a "democracy" (I put this in quotes because the idea that there is really democracy in the US is so absurd) like the US, this means the dangerous voters and dangerous voting blocks are rewarded and never feel economic stress, while those who aren't dangerous or those who don't bother to vote get kicked to the curb and screwed by the dangerous. Somebody must feel the pain in the US economy if the wheels are to stay on, and the marginalized will continue to feel that pain in the future, net or no net.

Usually the reward that is given to the voters who are dangerous is economic, but occasionally that reward is politcal power.

The new net will help maintain these present "arrangements", you'd better believe it. The new net is coming boys and girls. We just don't know when, exactly. I predict in the next five years.

talked with crete today, im setup for (she said up to, possible to get on your own earlier) 8 week trainer program with national van division, shes gonna give me an exact date next week after we test.

you dont purchase the load locks and what not until youre out of the trainers truck, and you can have it all taken right out of your check. Trucks are Freightliners with straight 10's and you can have a pet once you get your own truck.

500 bucks a week with the trainer, and .34 a mile after that for your first year. get up to half your check advanced to comdata, i wont be using that but nice to know just in case. thats all i remember, im dead tired.

They have a super store about 10 miles from my house.

Germantown I think. Not far from the holy hill truck stop.

If that is Sterling there is good reason as the runs are short, usually only one a day so 200- 250 miles a day is all I got the week I was there.

Well Crete is now the first and so far the only company that I am considering since they allow children starting at age 5. Does anyone know if they allow pets in their trucks? That's not the end of the world if they don't.

I'm impressed with things I read about them. I am especially impressed with the wages they advertise and I can hope and pray that they are honest. They do say that they mean what they say and say what they mean. It's in writing so they need to live up to it or at least try. No job or person will ever be perfect.

you can have pets after youre out of your trainers truck and into your own. i think the pet deposit is like 250 or 350, but thats lifetime i believe. so if you pay it, quit and come back in 5 years you dont pay it again.

its only 500 a week while your with the trainer. after that you get mileage, and they pay practical miles.
