When I bought my childs carseat (years ago). It came with a clip thingy(looked like the letter "H") to secure the seat belt. Its purpose was to not let the seat belt move,to lock it in position so to speak. The seatbelt in hubbys truck does'nt lock down(slides). For the lack of a better description. I hope you know what i'm saying.:biggrin_2559: If you don't have one, maybe you can contact the manufacturer of you car seat and get one.

Donnalou - I know what your talking about - alot of the seats now come with the extra strap with the clippy on the end to strap it to the floor.

LOL, did you have to stop at every other rest stop? I remember when I had a girlfriend with me and she wanted to stop at every darn rest area...drove me nuts.

When we have family ride along at our company, I usually try and go with hubby a couple times that week.

HIS BID is real long....we leave the terminal at 9:30pm and reach our destination at around 7:30am. We may need to stop once for a potty break but that's about it. I guess Iam trained....lol....:biggrin_25525:

I've always stopped at almost every rest stop when I drive...but of course I'm not a truck driver yet. I still bet I stop a lot. I just run in and run back. I don't play around.

I spoke with them at Crete today. They say that it's still 5 years and up that can ride with the driver and 4 and under must have the other parent a long. So yeah for me! I can do this. I just have to figure out how to get through my training financially. Paying for the training is only part of it. I'll lose my income during most of the school and during the first few weeks with a company trainer I would be making less than I do now. So I need to work on paying up my bills.

What a great family experience for you all. I hope that this was just the first of many great trips.
