Hi all, I have spent the last few days reading these threads. Started with the one DocHoliday started and on to this one. My Husband applied to JBS and was suposed to start orientation Mon. He has been with a company that was not a good fit for him. He droped his truck off at one of there teminals and told them he was not going to continue with the company. They told him if he does not bring the truck back to the same terminal that it was assined he would get an abandonment. So now he is on his way back to TX, and will not be able to start till next week. We are so anxious to get started with JBS that this is frustrating. I am new to forums like this, but I have realy enjoyed it.

I was thinking how crappy the company was but then thought of how many companies would not have said anything and just hit the DAC report with the abandonment charge. At least they told him. Best of luck moving forward

Hey babrjohn, I would suggest talking to Foxfire or DocHoliday..I like their posts the best here because they are pretty logical and make sense in what they explain at most...and Foxfire is a driver/trainer.You can talk to them both and they have the background and years following.Good luck to your husband and hope things work out for him right away, and keep reading the posts, someone will help you if you need info.:biggrin_25519:

Hello all, awhile ago i posted asking for peoples opinions on a few different i have and someone pointed me to JBS. I applied and was accepted to attend their orientation after i graduate from diesel driving academy. Now, through TTR and the nice lady on the telephone, i found out that they do this ergonomics physical. I wanted to see if i could get a few details on this ergonomics from some of you JBS drivers. What exactly is involved? Seeing as though i am a big man, this has me somewhat...... worried.

Knowing what exactly is involved, maybe i could reenact the exercises to get a good hold on what i am working with? I don't know. I know that if i knew i could get past the ergonomics thing, i would most definitely go with JBS as my first OTR company maybe last too.... who knows...

I've seen a couple of JBS rigs down here in Louisiana (natchitoches i think it was) and even talked with on of the drivers (he was the husband of the instructor we had that day) and he said he gets decent miles and is treated well there at JBS and i would really like to be part of that group.

Any and all responses are much appreciated
