With four box's on my trlr stowing gear ain't a hassle
Tarps are secured with chain/binder and lock on top of the double door Merritt
I have a custom belly box that holds a ladder, mesh tarp, coil racks, short timber, coil tarps and a few other goodies.Custom pipe stake rack built behind trlr DOT bumper, pretty slick if I do say so myself, not my idea but as with all things
I learn by watching and then adapt to suit.

DOT gets a kick out of the belly storage unit when their do their creeper sweep.

Do yourself a favor, if you use your winch straps more than once a month leave them on the winches. I never understood why some guys take them completely off and roll them up and put them somewhere else. They claim they last longer but if they're wet when you remove them, they're still wet in your sidebox. At least on the winches you can tighten them down rolled up and wring the water out. Plus they last for years and aren't that expensive. One guy told me it's so someone doesn't steal them.....um they're easier to steal when they're all boxed up together, takes a lot more effort to unroll each one.:biggrin_2556:

My dad always used the PVC pipe method for rubber straps. 3-5" pieces of PVC with a handle worked well and you could carry it with you around the trailer.

I can vouch for the bungees on a pipe. I learned it from an old landscaper who, oddly enough, drove flatbed a lot. Works great. If you have different sizes of bungees, just get more pipes.
