Dude, I just this moment realized that and thank you for trying this as well.
I got in the rig shortly ago and heard the shock doing the whooshing sound
as I did what you did. We both weight the same. Im about 185.

    Passenger seat does it too...

I wonder why the eff I never noticed this until last week?! :biggrin_25523:

Well, now you will have spare parts, in case anything does go south. :biggrin_2559::biggrin_25525:

I just replaced my seat a couple weeks ago. The dealer had one of these on display and heard the same noise. He told me I would not hear it in the truck. And I don't. Man, should have replaced my seat when I bought the truck. Love this thing.

So maybe approach it the other way - git back in that buffet line for some bacon and gravy so you can show that seat who's the boss.

    :)

I purchased the seats last July. Never noticed the noise until May.
Still weird, but glad to know it's normal I think...with 1 month left on the warranty....
I will call Sears again in the AM and run this past them.
Next step? - ISRI seats and I won't look back....:biggrin_25513: - this is one serious seat...

Not familiar with IRSI seats. Oh, why do I ask. I am happy with my seat and I am sure you are going to give me seat envy.

Umm...ISRI are assembled in MI but a foreign company (German?) - the aftermarket LEATHER ones are very spendy.

They also make OEM KW seats available only from the dealer. The best price I got on them was $900 delivered (each).....compared to the Sears Atlas 80 that can be had for the low $700s if your relentless and beat up the dealer.

I can't believe Iowa80 sells these for $900+ when cost is actually under $700 per seat. What a mark up.....

My #1 complaint on the Sears seats is the arm rests...the roller to adjust them doesn't have any tension against it so it rattles (at times) or falls down sometimes. Sears is aware of this and I suggested a fix, but no one has tried it yet....

I had my Elite on the drivers side, but the bottom cushion does not extend out far enough for me seeing I'm 6'2" and all legs. So I swapped it over to the passenger side and bought a Legacy Silver Lo HD for the drivers seat and its amazing. Dual shocks in the bottom, wide ride cushion and the seat extends out about 4" farther.

Peterbilt had it on Clarence for $399 (orig $999) and it was even blue!

I had somewhat of the same issue. One of my ARM rests adjust higher than the other, and it drives me nuts!
