Hello I am hopefully going to start school in Utah in the next few weeks. I am still in the application process. I am wondering if anyone will be in the Yakima, WA area in the next week or so? I kind of want to see a Central truck "in the flesh" and maybe get some good advice.![]()

Thanks for the info yeah I found out the policy today at training. Just like I told my instructor it's a no brainer for me. Money in my pocket and a carrer or a dog. Don't get my wrong Maverick has been with for seven years now and I love him but he is just a dog. Right now I need money and a carrer but I do know of two families here that are nice and want him so I will talk to them and see. I still have a little over a week left before going out with the trainer so still time to find him a good home.

Uhm for your information, Werner Alows pets, so you may want to check them. I can recomend a great trainer Adam Delosh, at Werner. Because when I had been out off the road for 6 months, werner had me go out with a trainer (adam) for a couple weeks. But if you are attached to your dog, you may want to check into Werner. People bad mouth them but they were good to me, but then again I was experienced and on Walmart Dedicated, no complaints when I was with them.

road link but you gotta have 2 yrs exp before they will even talk to ya. and they allow pets, and riders no age limit either

I feel for you - I'm a cat person, and we had several we needed to find homes for... I still miss my kitties!!

You can only have a dog if it is between two buns and is covered with mustard.
(sorry couldn't help my self)
There are some that have been "grand fathered" in but the rule now as it sets is "no pets". -
That POS is a waste of company $$ anyway....
The last run from IL to WA. It had me run about 300 miles and fill, run 170 miles and take on 56 gal. then run 834 and fill again... needless to say, I skipped the 2nd stop. It would have only taken about 25 gals. Not worth taking the time to stop.
The one I really like is when it routes me 80 miles (one way) out of the way just to take on 50 to 60 gals..... -
Thanks for the info it is good to know. I already started the training with Central and I am happy with the decision so far. Others give up family life to go OTR so this is my family life that I'm giving up. I will stick it out with Central for awhile and see how it goes.

i have heard nothing but good from central, but i want to drive when i want to drive and sleep where i want to sleep, so solo is my way to go. i think central is still teams, like crst, good people just all teams.

Hmmm, don't know where you heard that but,it's totally wrong. Central has plenty of solo drivers, myself included. It even says so on every trailer I have pulled down the highway.
