My husband just left a company that had opt-idle (the driver sets the temp in his bunk, the truck is set on cruze control, when the temp rises above or lowers 4 degrees the turck turns on to kick the air back on) the truck ends up turning on and off about every 20 min. He was woke up every time the truck turned on and off. He could never get good sleep. What is the Idle policy at JPL.

To each their own but I slept much better with with optimized-idle. The first time the truck started on it's own, I thought I was going to levitate off my bunk but after that, I slept right through it.

I am looking at going to JBS orientation next week and need some quick answers please. I live in far Northern California on I-5 and need to know how much freight goes that way. I need to know how I will get home time and where I can park a trailer. I have room off street at my house for a tractor. A quick reply would help as I need to let my recruiter know tomorrow if I will take the job. Thanks in advance.

it all depends on where you live..we have lots of loads going that way but it would be up to you to find a safe place to park the trailer...we do a fair amount of I-5 work but most of our Cali. stuff is east- west....like i said ...it all depends on where you live in Northern cali....if your way north it could be harder to get you home..if your with in 200 miles of 80 you will be fine

I am 150 mi N of I-80. There is a WalMart DC about 25 mi from me in Red Bluff, CA. Is that the kind of place you are talking about for a trailer?
