Ok so I've been with my current company for 2 years now and considering making the move.

    Couple of questions,
What are you current drivers averaging per week, miles wise?
How are they about getting you home when you ask for it, and taking more than 4 days off at a time, 5 or 6 if you stay out that long?
Hows the dispatch system, preplanned, gotta sit and wait for your next load?
Think thats about it for the moment, I'm sure I'll think of more.
    Thank you for you time

Read this thread. It has about 3 years worth of one Crete employees experience. Full of great info.

Average miles/weekvaries by who you ask, but I've averaged around 11000 miles/month since the first of the year, except for Feb as I was home longer and it's a short month. I still had almost 10000 in Feb.

Getting you home depends a lot on where you live. I live in Iowa and have had no problems, but some areas are not so good.

I think you get 1 day off for each 6 out, with a max of 4 days at home.

No preplans usually. 1st empty 1st loaded. But I haven't had to wait extended periods very often. Usually get a load fairly quickly, sometimes there is some down time to pick up time though. Usually I keep moving pretty well. I made 3000 miles on the nose this week and I did a 34 reset while they serviced my truck in the middle of the week.

That must have changed then. When I was there, I used to stay out 2.5 months then take 10-12 days off. Actually, now that I think about it, it might depend on your terminal manager as well. I know that Janelle in Salt Lake would only let her drivers have a maximum of 8 days off.
