I just junked my sisters 87 Camry and got her another. Sad to see that car go. My mother bought it brand new. But I hated that maroon car. You always hit your head getting in it and them auto seatbelts I hate with a passion. Other than that, it was a good car.

Funny thing I was talking with a guy at the local C-store. He had a Camry with a maroon door and trunk lid. He just bought them at the local junk yard. My sisters car lives on, lol.

yeah, although the newer ones do not have to automatic seat belts, i too still at times bump my head on the upper part of the door opening...when i am getting in.

yeah, they are very good, long lasting cars. best car (thus far) i have ever bought.

Fill out the report if required. Be sure to understand the requirements.

You might approach the Camry owner and pay cash to fix his vehicle if he gives you a break. I once kept an accident off the record that way. Remember it is what he turns in as cost that will set the stage.

Hey dont put yourself down so much and Rerun is gotta be one of those people that will pass you and hit their brakes in front of you just to get a new car...dude thats what insurance is for ok and it is what it is i rubbed a stupid car once too because it was in my blindspot and i just took it and learned from it you will not get fired cuz the company gives u 1 chance just pay attention next time and next time you find your self in that kind of road again just make a right yiu will find a bridge 5 miles down the road thats what i do i dont play chicken with these stupid 4 wheelers that have no common sense cuz u know they are always speeding so stay away from those types of situations. Now I need u to focus on ur driving and stop thinking about the incident triple check your mirrors and tell your Boss it wont happen again now you know what can happen when you dont pay attention.Good luck to you my friend and stay alert 100% of the time your still in good shape.

We had an 89 camry. 4 cylinder, 5 speed, and that lil bugger would #### and git, I tell you what! Liked it enough to buy another Toyota, wound up with an Echo. That was the end of the Toyotathon in my house! I'm back where I belong, in an older GM. I look down on Camry's now (literally, I drive a Jimmy)!

I had an '81 3/4 ton that I resurrected from the dead, then worked to death and resurrected twice more. The police told me I couldn't drive it anymore due to the rust, so I drove it to the wrecker last fall. I was by there the other day...they're using it as a yard truck. :biggrin_25523:

Thanks down luck. Your words of encouragement are most helpful! I'm fine though. Biggest reason for freaking out was because I wanted to split this gig in 6-12 months to work for a small company in my hometown that gets me home every night. Ahh well, #### happens. After considering killing myself the past two days I figured it isn't worth it to get blood all over the truck; (They'd probably hold my last check from my girlfriend to get it detailed) I realised that I am still in good standing with my laborers union and my dues are current until December. This means I could always fall back on construction work (pays way better anyhow). So it would seem all is not lost, my dispatcher was really cool about it and said its understandable that it happened while I'm still a green horn. So ill take the hit, put my head down, and drive into the sunset......
