I am supposed to graduate from schoole on Aug. 24 and my recruiter with USX has told me to call him 2 weeks before I graduate. I can only assume that I will be in Tunnel Hill on or about Aug. 29 for Orientation. Hoping to get more information when I call my recruiter.
I am really looking forward to meeting you and hope that I can get paired up with you for training. I think that we both have a lot in common, especially after reading some of your posts on the other board. So, if you can, pencil me in for the end of August and I will try and keep you updated as that date gets closer.

I've got you penciled in, Jodi. Based on current projections (which are always subject to change...LOL) the timing should just about work out.

Sounds great to me....can't wait to meet you and can't wait to get on the road.....again!!!

Hi musicgal, My husband and I are attending trucking school in April of next year, so by the end of April we should be finished and headed to Tunnel Hill. We have been following yours and Craig and Anne's, and a few others posts for awhile now, and hope you will be able to train me.

Thought I would put in my WISH to train with you. Guess you can pencil me in tentatively. Ron and I should finish with school August 30. We are hoping to head to orientation directly after. Do you recommend scheduling to be at the orientation far in advance or waiting until training is complete? Looks like Jodi got on your list before me. That's ok, I'll wait my turn. I hear waiting is something a true trucker better get comfortable with. : )

Nothing personal, but if I was looking for training it would be with someone who has more than a year behind the wheel. Think about it. You have one winter under your belt.
-
Blue Buttons, I wish you success in school next year and I will be happy to add you to the list. Just keep me posted.
Rhonda, by all means put in for Orientation as soon as you can and keep me posted. And, Yes, waiting is something you get used to...LOL
Notarps, I understand your concern. When I trained last year all I learned was basically "get the load and get it there". Everything else I learned on my own and my FM was the one who suggested I become a Trainer so that I could teach what I learned and so that someone else would not have to go through what I did. I have learned a lot on this board about all kinds of different things which I am passing on. I can only pray that I continue to learn about driving in the winter time and be able to pass on my knowledge to all my trainees, either on the phone or in person.NoCoCraig, transportHER and davey86 Thank this. -
Thanks Musicgal. I talked to a recruiter and he said we would probably be going to the Springfield, Ohio terminal for training.

Musicgal,
I will be in Tunnel Hill on Dec 14. Would like to have a woman trainer but was told it would me better is I would take a man. Not enough women trainers to go around. I said and none smoker but I could live with a smoker for a few weeks. If it was a woman. Can I get on you list.
