Last night while i was going to get dinner i saw police officers running truckers off rt 11 in staunton my guess is that the pilot off I81 was full.
Staunton has a stupid ordinace that prevents 18 wheelers from being parked within the city limits. These cops dont have anything better to do than harass hungry drivers that just want something to eat.So Drivers bypass Staunton go somewere else were you will get the respect you deserve.

    GuysLady and nckid Thank this.

if you going north get off at the 235 and make a left and go to the light and make a right on rt11 and then right into the parking lot of the dinos store. there is a subway there and parking for trucks. just a fyi.

Sounds like they were parked on the shoulder making it hard for 4 wheelers to get out of the parking lot??

Were you at the Pilot in Greenville(exit213)?They have a Staunton address even though its 7 miles south.
I`m gonna assume here that the only entrance/exit to the pilot was jammed up as its been almost everyday since that place opened. If thats your first time in there-sorry.If you go back then you asked for it.
If this wasn`t the case could you please give more info?I park in the Staunton Mall often to run local errands, etc.,haven`t been bothered yet.Are you local to the Staunton area?

I know Virginia doesn't want trucks parked on the shoulder or on/off ramps for safety reasons, we need some more details on this one..

I always thought of Va. not being a very friendly place for trucks period. I've been to a customer there in Newport News that even went out of his way to make it nasty if you were in a semi. Then look at the the little no trucks over 65' signs. Sorta funny how they put them where you have no choice to go. Can't backup, or turn around, in many places.
Just stay on I81, and don't stop anywhere, until you're out of there. Except for the LeeHigh.:biggrin_25525:

Yes I live in staunton but moving to Richmond Im a P &D driver for W green trucks.Im not a long hauler but i hate it when i see other drivers mistreated by minasquale law enforcement officers who are more worried about harassing road heros than catching real criminals.I mean after the only way the city makes money is by raising real estate taxes and
