Good thing they're not the only company out there...and I'm in good shape financially, and only want to part-time because of my other gig.
The attraction to me is that they need folks to just run Texas, with an occasional OKC or Louisiana... home a couple nights a week.
Anyone driving for a "Conditional" company?

OK, well, that was fun while it lasted - now I know why they're in "conditional" status. The lady dispatcher tried to tell me that they're conditional because two guys got caught with 15 minute errors in their logs.... yeah, right.
My third day out she wanted me to drive 14 hours after being off for 3... and driving that morning, then do 1,000 miles straight thru to San Antonio for my appointment. Every one of their trailers are junk, they evidently don't do preventive maintenance or even see if stuff works before sending it out.
Just terminated out agreement... the guy they paired up with me for this double run to FEMA just got a load to Maspeth, Queens for morning delivery... he's never been to NY or NJ, period, and they didn't want to give him any money for tolls. I wished him luck. -
Dang, man...wow...

It's not the same place you have in your signature, is it?
outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
This is so VERY TRUE. The company that was dispatching hubby was in big trouble. And they were in one of the pilot states, so they've been on the radar for quite a while. His drivers (leased onto him) would have to go around the scales, while we could waltz right through them.
But the kicker is, he lost a contract hauling high dollar loads from the south back up to the Midwest. It hurt every driver that he was dispatching. Because the company felt that they couldn't trust their loads with him.
This is why we will NOT give up our authority. Ours is squeaky clean, and we intend on keeping it that way.
I think that it will effect some companies contracts. -
It already is.
We are going over to elogs because a customer is requiring we do something about our fatigued basic. We are on alert for the simple fact we have lazy drivers not dotting their I's and crossing their T's! Out of 65 fatigue violations noted on inspections 62 were form and manner for stupid mistakes like no date, no mileage, no signature, not current( but legal ).
The only way customer service could get them to give us a chance to bring that score down was by implementing a plan to fix our problem. We lost our best customer at least until the bid comes up next year over this score. Our on time record with that shipper was beyond excellent. In fact we had just recieved an award from them the month prior for that record. Did not matter when the bid came up. In their words we could become a liability if they continued to use us and something happened under one of their loads. We presented our plan and they informed us we could rebid next year if our score improved.
CHRW has expressed their concern as well as other brokers. By the way our "Fatigued Score" 59.
Tommy and Phillip are placing the top 10% of log violations(monthly report) letter receivers next month. 10% a month until we are all on them( we have to spread the equipment change cost out) in the hope it will bring down that score so we can keep and regain our better customers. -

A lot out there wish they could say the same , and now that they are trying to clean things up the
starts from the Drivers and O/O's when things start getting changed.

you should ask some prime drivers about a conditional rating,,,,,there where getting flagged everytime one crossed the scales anywhere in the usa.....its not a good thing to have and your on their radar.
