I have two tickets on my record going back the last 3 years. Both tickets in 09, one for speeding 10-mph or less, the other is 'careless or negligent driving'. I have other tickets going further than the last 3 years as well and an accident in 08. Are there any companies that would consider hiring me? I appreciate any and all help, thank you.

All you can do is try. Apply to some of the carriers and see what happens.

    Good luck!

With the careless driving charge, he would be wasting his time.

Wrong, two different levels of carless driving. Some states do not even have it, only reckless driving. Keep trying and when you get a job do your best to stay until tickets come off.

Thanks you guys, your comments have been helpful. By the way I'm in SC right now and I havent gone to school yet. I would like to get a job with a company that will pay for it then I would pay them back as I work. In total I have 3 accidents on my 10 year driving record but they are all going back more than 3 years, is this going to be a problem for me? Do you all know some companies off the top of your head that you could perhaps steer me towards? How hard will it be for me?

Before you go to a CDL school, you should check out companies like Prime, CRE, and PAM which have their own training facilities.

The name of the issued ticket doesn't matter. How many points that come with it do matter. 6 points or more and the OP can't even get a CDL. Not that many companies will hire drivers with 3 or more points on their MVR. His best bet is to wait 3 years for those points to clear. Tickets may not be universal, but the point system is.

Multiple tickets/accidents/"careless driving" charge..If ANYBODY hires you , they are out of their minds. You are a lawsuit waiting to happen with your history. No offense, but could you please consider another career choice ?

I mean HONESTLY..DO YOU want to share a crowded freeway with this person ? Yes, we've all heard that "learned from my mistakes-yadayada stuff"..But history shows that isn't necessarily the case. But please OP, if you DO manage to convince anyone to hire you, please let us know. As I will avoid that outfit on the roadways like the PLAGUE..

I understand and even thank you for your criticism. I was pretty immature once but I'm a little older now and I realise the faults of my choices. I know this probably wont mean much but I grew up in an area where you can get pulled over for just going a little over the speeding limit. The main thing the police do in this area is just issue tickets.
