I won't answer the question, as I have a problem with "have to". The key in life is to make sure you don't "have to" do anything you don't want to, save for die and (maybe) pay taxes.
if you had to go with swift or j.b. hunt

you make a great point i just wanted to see what the outcome of this poll would be. i do not know if you understand where i am comeing from but yea -
I drove for Swift on a dollar store account that also had Werner and JB. Swift seemed to have the most satisfied drivers over-all. The Werner drivers didn't like the auto-logs, but it wasn't to the point of jumping ship. The biggest thing that I saw with JB was their truck inspections and quaterly reviews. Some of the veteran drivers felt belittled that after all of their years of driving, they had to let some college kid come out once a month and do a truck inspection for them.
All of the big corporate companies are about the same. Their a good "last resort" for all of us out there behind the wheel. You will never be much more than just a number to them, but they will never be more than just a paycheck when your kids are hungry to you. -
ok I am doing research to see where i want to work after/if i do the school cdl thing. Looking into Sage in Indy. They have job placement. Wont have to do the 1 yr contract. BUT Dang.. who is the company I SHOULD work for? LMAO

Couple people I have met work for Swift and said they like it.
Couple more people I have met works for Werner and said it's not a bad company to work for. The advice I have been giving is that when I choose a company, just do the work and do it legal. Fortunately for me money is not the issue as well as I share a house with my brother and he makes really good money so he backs me up whatever I do so it gives me the opportunity to just get the experience in order to make the good money and find a company that suits me. -
To be honest, I don't think even 5% of the truckers are sitting on a mountain of money like those that would rather quit their jobs rather than work for a company they didn't like. That's basically why they are restricted. From my research all the companies are similar in culture, that is in the way the do business all the way around. -
Don't believe everything you read. That's the first step. Remember there is always three sides to a story. Yours, mine, and the truth. I think I'm going with JB Hunt. -
well of all the reasearch im doing so far..
it looks like Swift has as many plus stories as bad.
jb seems to get alot of bad talk but mostly about equipment.
schnider and prime have alot os happy drivers.. but the people who have never driven for them talk ####
Werner as the most negative comments of all of em.
TMC has a few good comments but just I like em or im thinking of going with. No real concrete statements.
CRST seems like charlie brown everyone is picking on them..LOL -
if you had to go with swift or j.b. hunt
Lets see. I would not put myself into that situation. If someone put a gun to my head and made me choose; I would probably say pull the trigger; it won't hurt as bad...and if I survived I could dispatch for either one...
