Actually all three are important to a driver/OO that wants to make the company a home as each reason means something different to each potential driver or O/O for cal ark. NOT allowing an o/o to put their truck in the company shop IS a major point to consider as it could cost said o/o quite a bit more money in the long run on repairs and general service.MANY companies allow it and advise the O/O upfront just to entice that potential driver to sign on.
Just MHO that ain't worth squat-

    RIBS Thanks this.

My husband has been with Central Hauling for the past year as a O/O and for the most part has not and any problems with them other then the dumb dispatch they gave us. He averages between 2600-3500 miles a week he has even seen as high as 4200 a couple times. Most of the people that complain about Central are drivers who are picky about where they go. My husband had so restrictions, he also has haz-mat. Some people who reads this might say how do you know what goes on you're not a driver, well no I'm not a driver but I've been on the truck with him for the past year and i know exactly what goes on. I handle all the bills and fiance. I know more about that then he does and he will tel you that all he does is drive. Yes central does have it problem but we have not had to deal with that so far. And the reason they like you to bring your truck to certain place to have it worked on is because that's where the cheapest prices are. For Central TA's are the best places to get a PM done, yards are best for tires and International are best for heavy duty stuff. Loads weights vary, we had a load last week that was 8800 pds and we took it 1535 miles but we've also had loads that were 32000 and up. Central does a lot of international loads that are VERY light. Overall we've been happy there but we are looking at Conway only because the pay is better (.93 amile vs .85 amile) and they pay & reimburse more things.:yes2557:
