I'm finding Volvo parts for my volvo VED 12B engine in my 1997 WIA 64T and other parts to be crazy high at volvo dealers.

$500 plus for an idler pulley kit and the small pulley across from it and a belt.

Are there any better prices out there and what about aftermarket chinese stuff.

I'm going to the truck junk yard tomorrow.

    What is everybody else doing?

I use to search on European JY sites, they post parts. I use air mail ore EMS. UPS, FedEX and TNT are too expencive.

D12B shares parts with D12A. ECMs are different D12A ECM is 24V powered.

I really dont remember spending that much on a belt tensioner, more like 150 back in 2006 when I still own a d12b
Rebuilt turbo w/o installation kit was 700
    Exhaust rocker arm was 65
    Water pump around 400
I am sure that it is costing more these days since the dollar has lost value against the euro since then. But I don't think all the parts are crazy expensive for d12b. I still own a truck with d12d. Parts price may be just a little bit more than isx parts.

Their prices arent that cheap comparing to dealer prices. Just giving you an example, I just bought rear axle air ride leveler from my Volvo dealer for 95 plus nj sale tax. Sale tax free if you have an business account with them with a tax id number.

The price on the web site is 91 plus shipping. For me it doesnt make a lot of sense ordering online.
