Is it ok to use CB slang in my forum posts?

Thanks for the input.... It was in High School in the mid 70's last time I used a CB. I had a 5 or 6 channel tube type mounted in my 1970 Chevy panel truck. I had to buy crystals for the freq`s I needed, and 5 minutes of warm up time to start working good. It came in handy driving around North Jersey and NYC picking up materials for my fathers store.

Crystals today are as costly as gold ..... CB ones are still under $20 a set however for HAM radios or even scanners $20 PER crystal is getting cheep ....

Yup ...
That is a good question since PLL's have replaced them but here is a referance to them.

§ 95.651 Crystal control required.
All transmitters used in the Personal Radio Services must be crystal controlled, except an R/C station that transmits in the 2627 MHz frequency band, a FRS unit, a LPRS unit, a MURS unit, a MICS transmitter, or a WMTS unit. -
