I'm supprised they have you riding with a trainer. I was given my truck right out of orientation and then picked up my first load on Tuesday and ran to Anmore, WV.
The ICL account is great. Our dispatchers and DBL are top notch. They seem to be on the ball and really look out for us. As far as the port, it seems pretty easy. It get really busy during ship day, but other than that it is easy to get in and out.
BTW, I'm in truck number 61256 so if you see me, give me a shout. I go by simple man on the radio...
Take care! -
Do they go through all this with you first? -
Yes, they do go through this with you first so you understand what they want to see.

I am two weeks in to school and I am thinking of driving for Schneider out of their Houston OC looks like they are hiring OTR Tanker Drivers. Does anybody know what I can expect to earn my first year? Is Schneider a good company to drive for? I have hear good and bad stories. Thanks for the help.

Sni is a good starter company for the most part and a bunch of drivers stay from my on thoughts is when i drove for them i had a lazy dbl and he would not help me do nothing as far as the company as a whole they are ok
SJ1985 Thanks this. -
Take what you read with a grain of salt. There are lots of threads on here about Schneider and most are good. That in its self is a huge deal for a mega carrier. Out of all the mega carriers Schneider by far seems to have the best reputation. I have been researching my next employer endlessly for the last month. As a veteran driver I am seriously considering Schneider. I would say you would be doing well to start with them.
Good luck with whatever you decide.SJ1985 Thanks this.
