i recieved a phone call from lj kennedy today asking me to fill out a application. but i instantly let the recruiter know that i have some dac report issues one thing on there is true another thing is not it was the other persons fault who rear ended me and they was put at fault and cited anyways the recruiter told me he doesnt care about those things and he actually ran my dac while on the phone with me looking at the things on the dac and he still told me hes interested in me. mind you since i got terminated from swift for bs ive had another flatbed driving job since then till now with a private construction company. anyways my questions are how good is this company and is the recruiter really gonna give me a shot or is he just blowing smoke to me because im getting kind of happy please let me know. and also let me know if you know any other companies that are willing to give me a shot even with a bruised up dac report even though not all things are true please let me know guys thanks and be safe out there

If I was looking for a better opportunity, I'd go for it. However, I'd never get my hopes up based on anything any kind of recruiter told me. That's like getting excited when a car salesman tells you "It's a creampuff". I always responded with "Yeah, a puff of smoke every time you let up and press the throttle back down".
I don't personally know of any companies that will give you a chance. But I believe a recruiter could be a good choice for finding out if you don't want to do the research. I'll bet there are some that will, especially smaller ones who don't care about the existance of DAC.swifthater Thanks this. -
yeah thanks man. yeah like i said they ran my dac and was like yeah youre all set. anyways they had me go for a physical and a dot drugtest today so i did all that for them so i guess its a green light what do you think man or should i still not get my hopes up

Hey swifthater
This is just my 2 cent, i think it's because they need drivers bad.
They have a terminal right outside Pittsburgh so i use to talk to some of the drivers.
I think years ago it was good outfit, but drivers i talk to said it has gone down hill!!!!
If you read some info on here about them you won't here any thing good.
Lots of problems with old trucks, loss of freight and the terminal here is just about closed, only few run out of there. Most of the old timer that were part of union they ran them out door.
Like i said just my 2 cents, but it doesen't sound good.already gone and swifthater Thank this. -
I think if they need help it looks good for you getting a chance. It may be hell if they are going downhill. Still some time there could open other doors if you stick it out. With your problems you may not have as many choices.
Good luck.swifthater Thanks this. -
Hey BigJohn i agree he might not have many choices and with time he could find something better.

And gone downhill fast. Lost the wallboard account in Aliquippa to Gypsum(who now has thier old terminal). They use to have a excellent score with the DOT, drivers ran legal, not anymore: 92.8% on HOS http://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Data/carrier.aspx?enc=cvIoKBth7M9OIPWTy0eARA==swifthater Thanks this.
