No the intermodal trailers have PRIZ and then the trailer number. Have larger reefer fuel tanks... 75 or 100

The new one I picked up had a 30 gal tank... thats not gonna last long on rail with a frozen load in the summer time.

I just saw a slew of PRIZ trailers at the waffle plant in Rossville, TN. Rail yards were shutdown this morning and I didnt see the Prime guy who ferries the intermodal trailers in and out of the plant.

I just had a 12XXXX for a week. I did not like the "no inspection door". I QC's a message to dispatch so I would have it in writing. How do we do interim temp check without an inspection door? I was told, in writing, to just depend on the temp reading on the reefer and notifications via QC. Now the WHOLE point of an inspection door is that you cannot count on the reading on the reefer to be the accurate temp at the BACK of the trailer. If the chute is crimped in any way, the reefer will sail along at 28 or whatever and the back of the load is rotting away. BUT I have it in writing. I also go not like not knowing as I drive along if the reefer is still running, etc. SOME kind of light should be visible from the driver's seat! DO NOT LIKE, them, Sam I am!

    U2Exit Thanks this.

UNLESS it is welfare juice to get you out of Florida? Or do you just not ever take a Florida load? ;-)

Never had anything that cheap out of Bradenton. $1.20-something is the lowest I've had out of there...

Saw one of those Priz trailers this morning going through the bay. Definitely don't like those... they take jobs away.
