What would be the best option to get a blood pressure test for someone without a family doctor and who has not had a checkup in some years? My first thoughts are a local clinic or doctor so that I can get medication if it's too high.
I am considering going to a company's school where the physical is done on the first day of school, and want to make sure that I can pass the blood pressure section so that I don't get turned away.
Best way to get blood pressure checked?

I have a portable unit with digital readout that I use for checking my pressure, and it agrees with the unit in the doctor's office. There can be a big variation dependent on time of day, activities, anxieties, etc...
Get a good portable one and keep track if it's something you are worried about, and you can even determine the time of day and activities that bring your pressure down lowest. That can be useful before having an official check done. -

The machines in drug / grocery stores arent accurate. Good...but not accurate. Id say get one of thsoe machines that you push a button and it does the work for you...make sure to check it a couple of times a day too...not just once. My BP was always good up until I graduated college, lol...UGH.
