    All good mechanics have all the tools they'll ever need, even if they use it once, why should we be any different as long as it's used as a tool and not a crutch...If you can't get around when it fails, THEN you have issues...

    Why so quick to judge? I'm not sure where the remark about caves and crayons is coming from either.

    It's always funny to see the brainwashed sheep vs the self reliant thinkers, esp when the electricity goes out, the quallcomm quits working, the gps won't respond, the cable tv quits, the internet goes down.

    For the 3rd time now I'm not saying that using a GPS is bad, but totally following it and giving up on your own skills and common sense is.

    The US road maps made today are not a heck of a lot different than the ones made in the 1950's, 1960's and 1970's. They evolved just fine as roads expanded, even before they were updated by computers.
