Just curious cc194217 was wondering what an honorary supporter was?

Site administrator assigned that...

Please do not use the Microsoft tax argument, it is NOT the same. It's as if you're making excuses for their product being inferior with each downgrade. If you buy a PC with Win7...and Win8 comes out 30 days later...? Microsoft makes it known in advance when their OS versions come out at least 30 days in advance and most OEMs will offer the upgrade free or at a very reduced cost to avoid losing a customer who may just wait for that upgrade to purchase. There's a huge difference here.
My real BIG issue is with the weigh station warnings. Before the downgrade I got a warning/alert 6 miles before reaching them. Now it's a 1 mile warning when I'm a half mile away. This update/downgrade has reduced the function to something that isn't even useful anymore...and that function when it worked was a buying point for me when I purchased the unit.
You are correct about the coordinates, I finally found where I could enter coordinates, but what is missing from that function is being able to save coordinates from current location, instead the unit tries to place you/me at the closest current street address. So, even that function is only somewhat useful. But, it is better that what we had before, which was not having the function at all.
PA 34, going through downtown Gettysburg. Max trlr length is 48', but this thing will sure take me right through there. And yes, I have it setup for a 53' trailer. And yes to your other question, I have all car POI's turned off.
Really, most of my complaints are minor and I could work around them, but the weigh station notification issue is major to me, and as I see it RM has reduced the functionality of my unit. Had I known in advance I would not have installed the downgrade. -
Hey Mark,
How come after the latest update, the unit now thinks that I376,22/30 in Pittsburgh is not a truck approved route. Never had this problem till the update. It will try to route me around a tunnel that is marked 13'6". If I ignore it(like I do) and paas the exit it tells me to get off, it will cancel out my route and tell me there is no good route around. The problem:
1)Tunnel is fine for 13'6" trailers
2)Route that the unit tells you to take IS NOT TRUCK FREINDLY! I know, I live here and have taken trucks on those roads.
Also, fix the MPH. Now I can't see how fast I'm going because it is to small.
By the way, my unit is a 500 and the letter is E.
And yes, my settings are correct. -
If you are on the Map page, go to the lower left and hit the COG... save this location is available.
I will test the Weigh station issue. I understood it would not go past one. But, if you set it one thing it does not see the setting.
thanks,
Mark -
Set if for 13'5" and see if it routes you. If so let me know.
MPH is being worked on.
Thanks,
Mark -
Map updates are bought via the Rand Store. 510/710 do not need as they already have the latest maps.
If you can remember, E-Mail me around the 1st of Aug. Rand is working on a Mac Dock and I could use you for testing. Subj line - Mac Dock
Thanks,

I just had about 8 testers verify the weigh station warning, but we are on a beta version. E-Mail me and I am going to have you delete a file and let it rebuild.
Thanks,
Mark -
Will try that.
