Just had a pleasant surprise. A black hat that I met at wytheville VA, sent in a note commenting on how nice my tarps jobs were. He told me personally, but I did not expect him to send in an at a boy....It was kind of nice!

Im not a black hat but when I see a driver taking care and pride in his work I always send in an atta boy. I never know if they get passed along. On the flip side I reported a black hat yesterday who had just 5 straps on a load of steel he delivered to the same place I did. He hadnt untarped so I knew that was how it was hauled. The load was over 40k and 44ft long. I figured of all the drivers at Maverick he knew better than anyone he done wrong.

Glad to hear you found some more good black hats out there . There's more good ones and bad.

Yes, when you send in a atta boy it will get passed along. As a black hat I am glad you called in on that one. We are there to help and set the example for others! We're not there to call in on other drivers were there to help other drivers. The only way I will call in on a driver if he refuses to security to DOT and maverick standards. Luckily I had to do that only once in 4 years.

Sand drivers just spent 4 days on a well that should have been done in 3 but CalFrac kept having equipment and well head problems. Night shift finished it up this morning. We're all off today. Our next well is up near Center Ridge which will make for a long turn around for those of us running from the sand plant to the staging pad. About 2 loads a day will be all one driver will be able to do. They said there are 7 wells on this pad which will take almost 13,500,000 lbs. of 30/70 sand. That's equal to about 275 truck loads. That is HUGE for us. It also has us looking at making big $$ for the next couple of weeks. We're figuring 7-9 days depending on if CalFrac runs into any problems. Pre-fill should be tomorrow with a training day Tuesday and well kick off Wednesday morning.

I've done a lot of research over the past few weeks on trucking companies I was interested in and didn't know until this thread that Maverick even hired recent grads. I am putting their reefer division on the top of my list (I live maybe 30 minutes away from the terminal in North Little Rock). Of all the companies, I've heard very little bad about Maverick. Good pay, good miles, and good folks. Hope to see ya'll on the road!

I loaded out of logan in russelville ky going to houston one time. Got my truck serviced at the rock that night and as I was tucking along I got a beep on the qual comm. It was from bobby in safety. They was doing their walk around in the yard and he liked my tarp job. Them loads are a pain. Coils that need lumber tarps. Here is that load.

Ran into a newbe with Maverick who just finished orientation. He was upset because he ended up in Laurinburg and was going to get a 2007 instead of a 2010 truck.

    Tuff titty said the kitty!
