Caution... Large Dust Storm

    There is a large dust storm approaching Phoenix Arizona.

    They say stay in your car/truck if caught on the road and/or try to pull off the road. Turn off the engine or it will ruin it.

    This storm is huge! They are showing it live on the weather channel via helicopter. Thirty mile wide and approaching Phoenix from the south. Visibality 0 to 100 feet. Also high winds maybe up to 70 mph.

    This storm was huge. They say it was about 1000 ft high. Also I understand they had a back wreck due to it but have not looked that up yet.

    Are storms such as that rare,I mean,I have seen signs out West referring to those,but....that is more n a little intimidating..

    those buildings look like the barracks near the PX on Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan..
