What was your trainers name? (send me a PM with his name if you don't want to post it)
It almost sounds like the guy I had as a trainer.

hi everyone, suppose to go to georgia on monday and then to SLC, was wondering how long does it take the recruiter to call and set up the ticket and also how are the hotels ima stay in
-
As you may remember, I am a trainer and as a trainer I average about 4500 miles over the 4 weeks with the student. They are not on a mile system now so there is no incentive for them to push trainer trucks. Yes I would agre that is low for an average. a good full team should easy get 4500 or more every week except weeks for hometime. My student and I are gonna have 6400 this week and have had 4000, 4500, and 3500 each week prior. We also spent 4 days at my house for the 4th. Hope you can get ore miles. Change dm call terminal manager. Do what you need to. Good luck.Lady K Thanks this.

those miles suck for a team and with you now leasing you'll be flat broke in 3 mo or less. remember as a lease op you can decline loads if they do not have miles on them ask for other options on loads don't always take the first thing that comes across the qc. also dont take a lot of dead head miles to pu a short load that will really hurt the paycheck. your on the hook for all the bills on the truck now your gonna have to raise hell to get what you need mile wise to just survive now. a dm change may be what you need. this is one reason why i have said before wait atleast a year before leasing. that gives you time to get the co figured out and build a really strong relationship with the LOAD planners. they have a big influence on the dispatcher espically when they see your truck number over and over with on time loads and ready for another. pluswaiting to see if the lifestyle is really what you want to do and a year is about enough time to get it all going your way. just my 2 cents.leatherman and Lady K Thank this.

also 1 other thing dont sit on loads with too much time on them and dont lolly gag geting to a place with a lot of time . {not saying that you do this ) but get there as soon as you can ask for a drop if all possiable or if your getting close and you still have time on the load ask for a repower to a solo driver who can finish it up and del. and then beat em up on getting you another load so you can keep moving i did it as a solo so i could keep moving and not spend a lot of time sitting. if you can get someone else to del it just gives you that many more hours to drive and turn miles cause you can eat up a lot of time sitting at a receiver espically if there's a problem. this will help get the miles up.
leatherman and Lady K Thank this. -
Our average, even with a week at home and the 4 days in cali and 2 days in georgia when we dropped off the truck was still 4986 for the last 14 weeks. Get on the waiting list!
-
I am averaging between 2500 and 3000 solo and dedicated. In the last 14 weeks i even had two 3500 weeks. As a team you should be in the 5000 range easy... I know you said you have a good dm, but you should be making more miles..

Dave is a good guy. He is a good "go to guy" for all questions on qualcomm. He handles all drug tests, training and trainers, upgrade driving tests, safety meetings, and a bunch of other stuff.
Who was the guy that you had and who are you getting now? -
Where did you get your screens for the front windows?
-
I found them at a T/A in the shop. Had to ask if the had them cause they were buried. Otherwise you can search on breezeway truck screens and get them online.
