This company appears to be a good company to work for. I have not heard any bad about them. Is there any driver that knows anything?:biggrin_2551:

If you use the search function in the upper right hand corner, there are several heartland threads going. A guy named Chromedome currently works for them and has been upfront and honest about botht the good and bad.

I haven't worked for them and to be honest would never work for them......
Few years ago I was approached by driver/recruiter and he made it sound all sweet and even showed me his checks..... till this day I haven't called him or them to apply.

I am actually unemployed right now and going back on the road and heartland isn't on my list, there are much better companies then them.

Also take a look around this forum, you'll see a lot of negatives about heartland.

I told you I worked for them for 4 months, the trucks are newer, no interverter allowed, some of the ppl are nice depends on who you talk to, you go the yard and you sit for 4hrs in line to get through the saftey lane.

I worked for Heartland out of the Columbus yard for about 6 months. They were okay to work for, like any large company had some quirks... My problem was at the 6 month mark I got sick and was hospitalized for several days. They came after just a few days and got the truck, it was theirs, I was okay with that. The problem was after the doctor released me to return to work a couple of weeks later, safty would not allow me to return. I had no service failures, was never late, took really good care of the trucks and trailers I used. I was never told why they would not have me back... Most of the people I worked with were great. Most of the frieght was 250-400 mile trips, one a day for the most part. I was home every weekend for at least long enough for a reset.
