yes, I understand. Guess I was making a new observation... I've seen some truck without visible pipes. Do some have concealed pipes of somesort?

Well good luck, I wouldn't play driver trainer for no amount of money. I'd end up in jail for beating someone to death.:biggrin_2554:

There's too many bottom feeders out there now, can you imagine how many ####roaches would crawl out of the woodwork if fuel was below $1?

The exhaust is behind the sleeper where they turn the front of the trailer black.

Volvo cars and Volvo trucks are not the same company. Ford owned the car division from 1999 until August of 2010 when they sold it to a Chinese company called Geely Automobile

I will say back my truck in is a nightmare I spent 14 months as a local driver running 48s that did not prepare me for the 53 with a sleeper I feel like I have to relearn I don't even try truck stops right now I can't get the space working for me what I would do with A Daycab doesn't work with the sleeper. i park in a corner or somewhere that no one thought to use.

Must'a been a T2000 which is without question the WORST truck that PACCAR ever built along with its Peterbilt cousin.

Some proprietary parts are more expensive in my experience but you hardly ever need to replace them and as JFaulk says they don't have much if any effect on the bottom line.

depends on where and what you bought.....My 379 Petes were rock solid but they were O/O spec trucks not ex-fleet trucks or lease trucks, big difference..

Funny thing is the body shop at the local KW dealer says the same thing about the T2000. He said to make sure the wind doesn't catch your door because it's only bolted to fiberglass.

Aren't you worried that a KW door handle or dash switch might cost $5 more than the comparable part at Freightliner?

The 379 I drive is rock solid also. At 620k on it, this thing is still a solid truck and has tons and tons of miles left in it. And it's a company truck. Like GP said if it's spec'd right it will last as long as it is taken care of.
