get an assortment of wire end connectors & a spool of wire. a continuity & hot wire tester. flashlight. metal flex funnel.
-
soory , I see where you already have wire kit. too early with out my coffee. how about a couple spare air to air hoses?
-
For the air cutoff tool I will have to get one of those to be honest some of the parts like the airbag and brake chamber are not so much so i can fix them but more so I have the parts and don't get overcharged on them when having roadside assistance.
For the wiring and extra hoses I did get those and also got an extra set of glad hands as well but thanks for the advice. -
I dont have half the things listed here If you carry all the things here you would need a tool/parts truck and you would would only be able to haul 20Klbs. I carry 1 gal of oil 1 antifreeze 1 spare tire 1 belt(water pump) a few tools 2 sets of vice grips duct tape and some baling wire
-
I carry all the same as Mr. PlumCrazy.
The tools I carry is one of those Craftsmen tool sets that I bought just for the truck.
Bailing wire it priceless.
A small tackle box full of nuts and bolts wire terminals wires of asorted colors and a mini torch for shrink wraping wires.
And one can of rustbomb(a little known product that left on bare metal will eat all the way threw with time) -
With the things I am carrying and my empty trailer with full tanks I weigh in at 36,500lbs that leaves me with 43,500 for cargo or 43,000 is what I will look for I do have a sliding 5th wheel and sliding tandems on trailer so I should be able to shift the weight fairly well. Alot of the stuff is just having the parts so when it does happen I can just pay labor as I got the parts for a good price.

I don't carry any parts that I don't plan to install myself. I've done lots of different kinds of service work. For the most part you will find service guys make a certain amount on a job. It is made up of labor and parts markup. If you furnish your own parts they just make it up on labor.halfburn Thanks this. -
well that sucks for my idea. I do have a fair a 201peice socket set and a 1/2 inch and 1 inch impact wrench so I guess there is a fair amount I could do on my own if I really wanted to. Part swapping (like the airbag for example) is normally fairly easy. Good point though I didnt really think about them just making it up in labor.
