I've read that a few have backed them off and got cel.And some that did not.I understand howthey work, just thinking of a setting where the engine would be more efficient but not throw a cel.Mine does pretty good but another 2 or 3/10 would be awsom.

The whole system is designed to work with the VIVAs. Two turbos, higher static CR, and the like. The IVAs are not as troublesome as some would have you believe. Keep your fuel clean and your oil even cleaner. Soot wrecks havoic on the ports and selanoids. At first, I was all about getting rid of them, but then I studied the patten etc. All is good. Work with them...

I have already done a few mods, spinner II centrifuge, fuel wire, fuel psi 105,fs1212 fuel filter, got a davco off ebay to put on,m120750 mufflers. MPG so far 6.4 in a W9.But keep in mind the system of staged turbo's and IVA's,catalytic mufflers and retarded timing was designed for emissions not performance or economy. If some parts of the system can be allterded or tweaked to make it a better performance system then great. I really love my Acert. It's different from my 3406E,but a great engine.gonzo01 Thanks this.

I'd done all the simple/cheap mods to my 05 BXS than added the PDI stage 1 tune. At first the mileage increase was little to none but after a few weeks of learning to use the power I eventually got a 6/10ths increase on average.

I have the fuel temp and boost wire done to my MXS. Its a decent upgrade but didn't see real results until I got my fuel psi up to 100. I'm not a big fan of the boost sensor because of soot, smoke. I was told that I can't run one without the other. Is this true? And my second question is, anybody have issues with the water temp climbing to 210 degrees on a mediocre pull? I have taken the coolers apart and cleaned them thouroughly.

Can somebody convince me that sending my ecm to pdi is a good idea! I've heard that they have issues. I've heard that they don't have the timing set up right. They let it advance for too long causing engine failure. 1800 bucks is a lot to swallow knowing this. There is a former research and development guy that is burning tunes for 700. The only problem is, its not hidden to the shops computer and I have warranty. CONFUSED!

Many on here have gotten good results. Few have not. I would have Mr. Haney or whoever he recommends do it. Fair guy that has forgotten more than most of us will ever know. $1800 is chump change in trucking. But I know what you mean. I don't like not getting my money's worth if it only costs a buck.

I only run the fuel mod on my MXS.The boost mod might help some but u have alot of smoke and soot. Most on here,if they tried the boost mod, eventually took it off. 210 degrees is normal if rad and cac are clean. The fan on the Acert want come on till 217.The twins on an Acert are pushing so much air that the air going through the precooler can reach temps of 7 to 800 before going through CAC and this helps raise water temps also since water flows through the precooler.

IMO do not send your ECM to PDI in Utah. Get in touch with Mr.Haney and he'll get you what your looking for. He will also sell you a PDI flash but you have more options than the salesman at Utah will tell you about. (I believe there are like 3 stage one tunes) I had such good results with my Acert that I got 2 6NZ's flashed also. I've got a C13 and a C12 I'd like to get done also but the C13 is close to needing an overhaul and the C12 doesn't get driven enough currently to justify it.Mr. Haney and 07-379Pete Thank this.
