How do they determine if you need to be tested and what is the test?
If you test positive, what does that mean and what do you have to do? How does this all affect getting out with a instructor and trainer?
Is there a way I would know if I had any issues like that to be concerned about BEFORE going to Prime?
Sleep apnea?

If you have a BMI higher then 39% then they will require you to do the sleep apnea test.
If you test positive, you have to buy and use the machine on a regular basis or else Prime will fire you. The machine usually has a card you hook up to it that you then upload to the sleep center that shows you have been using the machine.
Only way to check if you'll get tested is to look at your bmi.

The test itself is $130 and the machine is $2000. Prime takes the payments out at $55 a week till they are paid off.
As far as affecting getting out with an instructor. It just delays you a couple days. I finished my first week Friday but my test ain't till Monday night. By that time, all my remaining classmates will probably be gone. -
What is a BMI? Sorry.... not educated in this area.

It's a test to see how fat you are. Thin people are diagnosed with sleep apnea too. An Ambien and a few beers will put anyone out for a few hours

BMI is not a test. It's a chart. Height and weight. Google BMI and there are dozens of sites that have the chart.

the cpap machine takes a few nights to get used to but after that your a new man the next morning.

Ken, there are a whole bunch of threads and a whole lot of info on sleep apnea in this forum. If you want to look at them, go up to the "Google Custom Search" block and type in "sleep apnea."

click the link in my post. put in your height and weight and it will show your bmi.
bmi is body mass index.
you want below 39 -
Well, by that link I am only 26.4... that is safely under 39%. I would have to gain close to 100 lbs before I hit 39%.
