a/c evaporator

    Any one know how to get to the evap core on a 2004 379..I want to make sure the fins are clean..Got to the one in the sleeper..it was awful dirty..Thanks

    on the lower right side of the dash, take the covers off below the dash, this will expose the lower portion of the hvac box, there should be a cover that has 4 or 6 screws in it for the evap core, not really any good access for cleaning but you might do some good. also where the recirc filter is that pulls off the floor, might be able to get in that way to clean some.

    If it doesn't have outside air cleaners you can set the control to outside air and get at the core right in from the outside with a garden hose or pressure washer, all the dirt and water will go out the drain hose. If it has outside air cleaners, just take the right one off. With the control set to outside air you can look right in and see the core denser, that's the easy way!
