Dam I dont know were to start.for one you are following! So your going to 'Lead' yourself to better pay..huh? let us know how that go's for you.If you think that I would stick to what you are doing now.I never went to "school' for this "job" My father, grandfather, brothers, father in law brother in laws pretty much every one ive ever been around has sucked me into this! so maybe thats where i went wrong dont know.

perhaps you will have a "good experience" with what ever bottom feeder you get to hire your what ever you've been doing cornhole for peanuts. this is what Ive done since i was 19 years old hauling fruit and sod and trees. so you sir should stay out of trucking and stop makeing it harder for me!

People like myself who go out and take what they want always make it harder on people who are just tagalongs. If you have been in this for 10 years and aren't making great money, then you are doing something wrong!

Working at a good ol boy type place is great......if you are one of the boys! Unfortunately, I was not related to the boss and didn't spend at least 4 hours a day kissing his *** like the rest of the people around the workplace.

Its not us newbie truckers that are screwing ya bob. Its the "truckers" like I have seen...three guys (in one truck) about 23 years old, foreign, hauling for a no name company. They don't have kids, family, mortgages or ties. If they cook on the truck for three it costs less than you or I eating at the ts and they are used to a lower standard of living. When you come from a country that has dirt floors in the houses, a truck is the Hilton. They really can afford to drive for less because they aren't "spoiled" Americans. And they are proud of it. So rant all you want. You aren't going to change it and some of us still need a place to start because we weren't born with a Peterbuilt up our ***.

the problem is sorting through all the bad post and seeing if there are any "good"companys to work for? seems like every company has a post in bad company section.

I don't know what you did before, but other places you have worked, was EVERYONE happy? NO....But,if you run across a company here which has a multitude of bad posts on them,-maybe there is a problem... You also need to,when researching a company, find a few bad and good posters on a company,PM them, express your concerns, and wait for feedback. Also, get companies MC or DOT number, and look up their Safe-stat Score, same thing the DOT sees when you cross a scale, and that also can tell you much about a company.. OR,you can listen to a recruiter, hear what you want to hear, and jump on-board,although,this method IS NOT recommended.

Wow, you have not even driven a truck, and you are telling people what they should do.

Why don't you at least get a couple years of experience first, then you can come on here and talk your noise.

I work for .32/mile (ON THE HUB) which is equivalent to .35 or .36 "book" miles, i run 3500 miles EVERY week and home weekends EVERY week. Ya sure i could go to ANY carrier and make considerably more per mile but i don't wanna run 2200 miles a week and spend my life sitting in truck stops so before you criticize you first need to know the full picture.
