My health is something I take very seriously. I get a complete physical twice a year and take care of myself. My blood work was just done back in Feb. and everything was perfect, so when this popped up it was rather surprising. I now have had yet another complete physical and everything is perfect. You gotta love these clinics. It seems all they are concerned about is money. The only good thing that came out of all this, I finally got glasses that I should have done 12 years ago.

Well after being here at Calex for 15 months I've decided to make a move and leave for a local job offering me more money, more hometime, paid holidays, and company paid medical insurance. I am parking the truck Friday as I start my new job on monday.

I turned mine in back in May to take a local job also. The job I took didn't work out but I stand by my decision to leave Calex. Overall it was pretty good with them, but there were a couple things that outweighed the good, for me personally, and it was time to go. A driver could do much worse than Calex.
JohnBoy Thanks this. -
I agree with al. Overall not a bad company, but I also stand by my decision to leave. Personally their downfall is not paying holidays or paying good to go into NYC. But its like whereever you go, there's bs everywhere.
The main 3 reasons I left was 1. I wasn't getting home like I should, 2. I did a lot of boarshead covering other drivers and they liked how I ran and asked for me to run it but they put 2 new guys on it and 3. I took vacation from july 4th til the 11th and it was approved a month earlier. And as I was heading home (2.5 hrs away) I get a call at last minute to take the truck back to the yard and I had to scramble to try and get a ride. They wanted me to pay for a rental car but that didn't work so I had to get my parents which my dad had heart surgery a few months ago to drive the 4.5 hr ride to get me. That didn't go well with me so I decided it was time to go.JohnBoy Thanks this. -
My PrePass came to the house today. I ordered it last week while doing my reset. I hope it's worth the $16.95 p/m it's going to cost me. I'm thinking if I can avoid the Florida AG station and scales, Wyoming, Utah POE and some of California it should be cost effective.

The guys in the safety department said they have a bill from a car rental company for you. It's not nice to lie on a blog.
