Thanks for all of the great information on this site; it is very helpful for the guy looking to get started. Based on a lot of the data and opinion here on the site I contacted Roehl about their CDL training program only to learn that they are not taking applicants from the Northeast at this time. NEMF looks like a strong local company, however, they only sporadically have offered training. Are there any other Company sponsored options for a future driver out of Southern New Hampshire? Otherwise I may be off to Oxford Hills for private training. Thanks for the help...

they are taking students from the NE just not your area, is based on your zip code and freight. If not in a hiring area then they cant bring you into the school.

Yes...I do understand that, however. I am more flexible on the work route then most...I don't mind 5+ weeks out and then a slog home. So long as some is comped I really don't mind given my situation. Should I call them back and explain???

As far I can see,its seems trucking companies shy away from drivers from New England states.Kinda reminds me like Florida!
