    MY 16 pill DM only swings about 3400w's @ 14v...

    actually, in keeping with the 40 channel type transceivers that would be 1970's technology. except for baubles, bells, whistles and mosfets not much has changed.

    LOL u sir have never be to places like Montana, ID, Canada, in the middle of no were. WERE a CB is your line to the rest of the world. NO cell ph coverage, no internet. YOu have EOBR and sometimes that losses signal LOL so no emails for help. People do use cb's. But this is way over the top. I will stick with my cobra and astatic mic and tahst good for me.

    :smt075I dumped my CB in 1976. Now they have this new thing called a "Cell phone". Fits in my pocket. And it won't make the fluorescent lights flicker when you use it.

    You dang troublemakin whippersnapper !! Get with the times..:smt075

    I guess because some people are fascinated by having alot of power to key up over the next guy. Sort of like a "my dog can beat up your dog" thing.

    Heck some people still believe in taking old classic cars and making them fast and handle better........as opposed to just buying a newer high performance car that's light years ahead in technology.
