That would be International not doing there job. I drive a 1999 8100 double axle and had the steering gear box adjusted by I.M.E. (power steering specialist). The wheels will turn within 2 inches of the springs now.

must be nice....it wouldnt matter for so much, but this is a p&d tractor......i hit about 10-15 docks a day, go into tiny little businesses and anywhere else you can think of and this is what they give us to work with -

One thing about it, you really don't have much of a chance of staying bored for any length of time. You know that when things are going good, something is gonna come along. . .
What used to just bug the absolute hell out of me, was to have to deliver a trailer straight from a line haul set, without it being reworked on our dock. It was always a nightmare to try to sort through, and the customer's would be pissed if they happened to get a look inside the trailer. Even if their freight came out without any damage, they would see the way the other dock had just thrown stuff in there, and know what had happened to their freight at some point.
I am still amazed that there is not a whole lot more damage to LTL freight than there is.
