You mean somebody without experience that is 60 years old and has a bad knee, heart trouble, and a history of mental illness?
The answer is, probably nobody. Doesn't mean you can't keep looking, though.
Good luck finding something, but the answer doesn't change just because you start a different thread. -
Not many at all, but 60 years young, and 38 years experience, Everyone wants them.

Hows your health?that's the biggest and most important question to trucking company's-i'm 58 and going to swift's orientation soon but had to get a back to work physical(currently on disability due to a injury)and a med card-blood pressure has to be good say no more then 140/90 and normal eye stuff and hearing and cant be diabetic or schizo.

I forgot about the cataract surgery you say you need:

Your age and experience isn't the problem - it's your HEALTH. -
Spoke with neurologist and he said I would be OK.
Depression: Under control for over 20 years during which time I have had very stressful jobs and performed just fine. Better under control with medication than having depression that is not under control, which often seems to be the case. (See threads on depression.)
Knee: No touch - but hell I can lift 75+ lbs repeatedly
Eyes will be 20/20 after surgery
PS: I run my sports car at the track a few times a year. 135 mph. Never wrecked. -
I think since you left out that it was depression that people assumed it was a more serious mental disorder. Your stroke I think would be the biggest issue now. Not sure how trucking is for older individuals but I would think that it would make it harder the older you are especially with any verifiable health issues.

I got hired. but my disabilities are baldness, stubornness, crankiness and general irritability.
Seriously, tho. Just start calling the recruiters for starter companies and ask them.
If your depression is under control, your eyesight is decent, BP under control and you have a doctor's release, there shouldn't be a problem. -
It will be a problem, don't kid yourself. Too many young bucks out there, HEALTHY youngbucks.

So...now you're considering lying about your medical history just to get a job?
From another thread:
I don't know what the legal penalties would be, but I can tell you that if I found out that you lied on an application, you're fired. Period. I've always operated under the assumption that any employee who will lie to me is an employee who will also steal from me.
Why don't you consider starting out with a job doing other work around trucks. Go to work for a trucking company that has their own shop - running parts, working around the shop, etc. Or maybe a company that has their own delivery trucks - working as a security guard, freight clerk, etc. Once you get your foot in the door like that, maybe you can convince somebody that they should take a chance on you driving.
