Whats worse, you cross a picket line, you might not pay for it like a rock or cut air-lines, but you will be sitting out in the parking lot for HOURS while the union dockworkers ignore you, long AFTER the strike is over and done with.
Good reason not to cross a picket line for the driver and their company.
Have to cross this picket line

My policy was and will always be this. If your Dumb Enough to go on Strike and Get in my way if I have to make a Delivery to your place of Employment. Get out of MY WAY. Your Union is the reason your on Strike not the people that are trying to earn a living by keeping your Employeer in Business so when the Strike is settled YOU MIGHT HAVE A PLACE TO COME BACK TO WORK.

I once went to a plant in Kentucky(accuride) that was on strike, for a delivery.
I had no clue there was a strike going or I would have declined the load,I don't need someone taking a two by four to my truck. Damage is damage regardless of the amount.
I told the guys out front that I had no idea there was a strike and that I would not be returing to the plant as long as there was one. The guys let me in and on the way out I gave them a honk and never returned. I did turn one load down that was offered to return to the plant.
I told my company "sorry,I don't want any issues that result in myself or my equipment getting damaged. It's just not worth it."
I would tell drivers that labour disputes can get very heated and getting in there on the wrong day could be disatrous. Just stay away, why put yourself into someone elses fight for no gain? -
Unions are one of the main reasons that Illinois is bankrupt. State employees are mostly unionized and the state just gave them all the sweet perks the tax payer could pay.
Well I hope the teamsters just choke on there demand. Cross the picket line and get ack to the JOB.... -

I have always been good enough that I did not have to pay someone to protect my job. -
