Let me be the first to tell you that there are no regional positions at Schneider. I have been begging to be a regional driver for the last 2 years so that I could be home more often. I was informed two weeks ago by my DBL that it no longer exhists. Sorry...

That will never happen because it would require actual work!

well the hits just keep on coming.. well a friend of mine is doing that right now getting home every weekend if not every other weekend running out of Dallas Terminal, running texas ok la ms al tn. Told me to contact Melanie which she explained thats what it is (although i know never to trust a recruiter). Actually I wouldnt mind OTR anyway but I need to ask her if there is a pay difference if I sign up for the regional or OTR.

Be very careful if they offer you a regional position because the pay is 3cpm less than what us OTR guys get. I had this discussion face to face with the guy that teaches orientation and my DBL. Your recruiter wont know d!ck about it. They just want you to sign on so that they get paid. At least that's how it goes for the bulk division.

I have a company truck that does 66 on the cruise. It used to be a team truck, and never got turned back down. As long as I use the cruise, it doesn't count as overspeed.

It wouldn't matter. The lady thats 3rd in command at my company supposedly went out for a week on a truck to see what we go through. If so, I'm willing to bet the trip was structured to stop only at the best D/H customers, only stopping at the nicest truckstops(do any exist), and a motel,no, hotel every night.....no truckstop showers for her. I want her to take home $200 paychecks 2 weeks in a row and see what its like to be a driver. This is pure speculation. However, if corporate people experienced, not heard, what we go through on a daily basis; I would hope we an ounce of compassion they would change alot of procedures.

Sorry for my angry rambling, was not trying to hijack thread!
