Very simple im not gonna type all day to tell you what happened but basically like all recuriters they lie straight to your face to get you there....well it was alot more than that for me, the recuriter lied on my app to get me there, they didnt pay for lunch like they promised, there sleeping quarters at the facility was like a ####### jail cell and just a dirty too, i told the manager i was done with the orientation i did not have the experience to be driving up in the mountains in the snow and he said he understood and thanked me for being honest with him, next day he took me to Hertz dropped my gear on the curb and told me have a nice day...i was 864 miles away from home and limited funding to get back, thanks to hertz rentals they got me back at a good price......BE AWARE, THERE WEBSITE IS GARBAGE AND A #### LIE!!!!!! I could sit here for the rest of the day and tell you the rest of the ######## that happened but i have to much to do today....Just do yourself a favor and leave them alone....i

HOW did the recruiter lie on YOUR application to get you there? Also, After YOU told them you didnt want to be there anymore did you expect them to pay your way home?

well JUMBO very simple HE put on there that i had 6 YEARS OTR and flatbed, well i DONT, so theres the biggest lie, he also said he was able to verify thru some company that i never even heard of, so there is the bullsh#t lies that he did....i didnt expect them to pay for anything it was obvious enough they dont have any money but he could have atleast made sure i was able to get a rental instead of leaving me standing there, but with the attitudes them people had i guess thats typical.....

I researched this company all weekend because it is close to home and I would like to get into flatbed. I am a seasoned driver, I have pulled tank, dump, and van. I had to tailgate cabinets 4 hours a day everyday in a hot or cold trailer on construction job sites. I'm not afraid to sweat. I figured I would be a perfect fit with some training.

So after seeing a 3000 dollar sign on bonus posted on Saturday, Lafayette, IN (tippecanoe) Craigslist, I figured that they wanted drivers. I looked over every part of their website including the "Do I need flatbed experience?" In the questions feedback section.

"During training, we will explain the lifestyle and securement differences of hauling a flatbed. We will teach you the proper securement techniques required of a flatbed driver. Our training program is available to those with little or no flatbed experience but we encourage you to think hard before deciding to make a change. "

I call Greg in recruiting on Monday. He tells me my MVR is fine but I don't qualify because I don't have flatbed experience and they don't train. Then he tells me that they are "at full head," on their drivers and they don't need any. (Saturdays $3000 sign on?)

I took the hint after two misleading/contradicting comments to my face.

I know they have a seperate facility in Michigan City for training drivers on securement, tarping, etc. It's down the road from headquarters.

Thats what I thought as well. I called the number on the tandem website which is their driver menu number as well. If they want to shop around that's fine, but drivers can shop around too! The guy I talked to also told me I could go to some sorta student drivers website! :biggrin_2556: Yeah... umm No thanks, I'll pass.
