when this happens you need to call the front desk and get connected to Darrin Tyler....leave him a msg. and he will return your call ASAP....IF you are on fleet 19 this has been an ongoing problem with your dispatcher and the only way to fix the problem is for Darren to know.![]()

WTF!
Are they gonna teach us how to turn the A/C on?.................... -
Justtrucking,
VIP Solutions is an independent Recruiting company who places drivers with companies they do place drivers with JBS along with several other independent companies. JBS Has several recruiters who are not in the Greeley terminal also, like Benny Hill who work from home. Personally I would be talking directly to someone within JBS to avoid getting any disinformation. -
As Many of you know by now we have a new Operations Manager Todd Gooch. I am sure many of you were like I was wondering who is this guy, well let me tell you what I know of Todd Gooch, And this is after talking to him directly on the phone. He called me the other evening after I left a message for the big boss about a problem I have that needs to be fixed ( different story) Mr. Gooch Called me on my phone as I am driving out of Chicago, very pleasant person to talk to. Todd Has a large amount of time in the refrigerated industry, he has worked in many different positions over the years. He completely understands that not only do the drivers have to stay moving in order to make money. But he also does not like when driver sit for long periods of time. From What He said to me He is going to reduce the Layover times we have now, He is going to increase the miles per truck, and improve the FM/DM communication with drivers, he plans on doing whatever it takes to increase the mileage while reducing deadhead.
Todd Has been with JBS Since last year when Mo Came, he came with Mo and has been in Georgia, Todd runs the dedicated division and has set up the Brokerage division of JBS. There is a JBS office in Gainesville, Georgia where he lives and works he plans on continuing to work from there and see no issues with being able to complete the task at hand.
I can personally say this that is refreshing to have someone with the insight and passion for trucking now in that position, Todd no doubt in my mind will be fast moving to make improvements, and with his past performances in the industry we will all benefit.
This change is not only a positive one but one that is long over due and I know many of you who are on this forum will welcome the change as like myself you want to have things better.
Florida Girl Thanks this. -

I believe Todd came over from KLLM last year.
Just about a year ago was the big shake up in management.
I'll give them some credit, vast improvements have been accomplished.
Give them another year, it may be one of the best OTR outfits. -
I don't know about that, from my numerous dealings with Doc I can tell you that he is not Naive in any way and I find him to be a straight shooter and an excellent judge of character!
With his experience and personality I dont think he would fall for any BS! I trust his judgement and welcome the input from a veteran like him!DocHoliday and Florida Girl Thank this. -
I couldn't agree more!
Is JBS perfect?...............HELL NO!
Are they trying to be?..............HELL YES!
Do they honestly care about getting better?............HELL YES!
After the hell I have been through to get here it really makes you appreciate working for a company that actually cares and takes the right steps to improve the company.
Although we all know there are still some improvements to make, JBS has come along way in a short period of time and we have to give them credit for that!DocHoliday, Florida Girl and Jarhed1964 Thank this. -
Little update on my training. I am currently in a hotel in Upstate NY until Tuesday morning while my mentor is on home time. Been in a new KW T700. We have been busy as hell during my 3 weeks on the road. Did 3700 mi my first week with me driving 2500 of those mi. I have learned so much and seen a huge portion of the country. I have been away from home for 5 weeks with orientation and the week wait for a mentor. Hope they send us back to the west coast next week so I can get home for a few days. So far it has been a positive experience. Look forward to finishing up with training and getting into my own truck. See you all out there.
DocHoliday Thanks this. -
