On the HP issue, I use to drive a Scania V8 620 HP truck, id be grossing between 100k pounds to 110k pounds 45 to 50 tonnes, the truck was a single drive 4x2 and was getting 7mpg

The company now is changing to renault because there €40K euro per truck cheaper with 520HP volvo engines, hauling the same weight the truck is 1mpg harder on fuel

I also know as a driver the higer HP leaves me able to do my days work with alot less stress and feel alot more refreshed at the end of my day. The only big problem i foresee the higher HP in America is your gona get more trucks speeding and this alone creates huge drops in fuel usage but also if enough accidents happen relating to a truck speeding rest assured you will see speed limiters coming Americas way

If American truck drivers think you got it bad now i say this get on your knees everday and pray Speed limiters and electronic tachographs never come your way.

I agree about danger of European socialism, but it is not all.

Europe is attacked with immigrants from Asia and Africa and as we all understand here they are not educated well, they think if they come to Europe they'll be rich and all the Eropeans must help them and there are politics who understand that this kind of new Europeans who can vote will vote for socialistic ideas.
