Waffleville's standard response yesterday was "we are running 24 hours behind on all loads!"

So I was surprised to be leaving loaded after 15 hours last night.

Dropped and hooked an empty at USCS in Willington, IL. Preplanned on a local here in Chicago in the morning. Pre planned on a load from Morris to SLC after that.

Kinda payback from sales after a string of crappy load situations I've delt with since coming out of the house last week. Overweight with the nearest scale 45 miles away. 10 hour unload with a huge claims debacle that was finally settled when the shipper discovered the missing product sat on their dock the entire weekend while was busy driving to the delivery... Then they sent me to Waffleville, when they knew it was backed up and already had wasted a day.

I'm at the 55 truckstop in Bollingbrook.

After 30 hrs detention in Walton KY (Watch out for those Schwann's loads!!) we made both deliveries in the nick of time. Now we are on another load on the way to La Vergne, TN to go home. Sitting for the 10 in Wytheville VA for now.

Hanging out at Tropicana in Bradenton, headed to Cheyenne in the morning for Sunday. 667 miles per day on average if I want to get there in time to squeeze in a reset. Piece of cake.

Got the last of my Bud load off yesterday afternoon. Total cluster at the 02 in Appleton... made an appointment for Monday afternoon at 1500... CONFIRMED! The jerk in the receiving office was, "Oh no, we don't do that, we don't unload after 1400." So... its back in the AM (way early) at 0800 when the start. Yeah. Didn't touch my trailer (and I'm no. 1) until almost 0900. So... there goes an hour, and I loose an hour when I jump into Michigan - gonna be late. All good though... the Bud guys in Calumet hung out until I got there... almost 1600. Great guys! Mr. C worked the computer so no service failure either!!

Off to the other side of Michigan for blueberrys... going to Maryland for Friday morning... at the little truck wash across from the Ft. Wayne Travel Center.
