I switched from Sprint to Verizon six months ago. Frankly I'm not all that impressed with Verizon. Maybe my expectations were too high or something. The internet connection I got using a Sprint card for my laptop had begun resembling cable broadband in lots of places, and I hardly ever had no connection at all. Maybe the problem is I'm now hooking a smart phone to my laptop via USB vs. using a card. Regardless, I'm starting to really miss that Sprint card.

Verizon has good coverage, but their pricing structure is somewhat unreasonable, compared to the other carriers. They are going to have to get it in line, the other guys are catching up, fast.

att is garbage in mt and id. some places in oregon and wa also. But most of it is cause its the i phone issues. thats all i know cause thats what I have.

AT&T is not so good in the Southwest(NM AZ western TX). But never had much of an issue east & north of those areas. For awhile I had a personal & company phone, both AT&T. One was a Motorola & the other a Samsung, the Motorola would always catch a signal where as the other would not outside of cities. The odd part about phone review websites these days is it is rare when they mention call quality/clarity.
My issue with Verizon is from years ago their plans were priced at X, but they had so many additional fee's. May look at them again as I am sure much has changed over 10 years. -
Verizon is much superior.
If you want to save money, Straight Talk at Walmart has the best deal.
$30/mo 1000 min, 1000 text, 30 mb browser..... $45/mo, unlimited
But you have to watch which one you buy because Straight Talk uses both Verizon or the ATT network.
When you purchase look at the bottom left corner of the box you will see a code.
GSM is ATT.... CDMA is Verizon
You can get better deals on phones at the StraightTalk.com website than you can at Walmart. I bought a $200 reconditioned Samsung for $50 which included a months free airtime. I bought it on the phone from customer service to ensure I got the CDMA phone. Otherwise they go by your zipcode and it's like a box of chocolates.
I use to have Sprint with a 2 year commitment and $75 a month. I like the no commitment and $30 a month much better.
To the poster that said they don't like getting dropped at some state lines.
You don't need to be on the phone when crossing scales anyways.
I don't remember getting dropped but at some random places. If you look at their map, even in remote areas the network is built around the interstate system. -
I run primarily east of the Rockies and the only places I've had issues are remote parts of West Texas and through the mountains of West Virginia.

I just switched from ATT to Verizon and I'm regretting it.
No roll over minutes (had 3,500 minutes saved)
no unlimited mobile to mobile calls
more expensive data plan to use wireless hotspot
unable to make calls and use data at the same time. (wtf verizon, i could do that years ago with my sprint LG Rumor)
the only thing i like about verizon's service is i actually have signal on i80 between denver and omaha. that was no man's land on att.bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
The thunderbolt will talk and surf at the same time. Only phone on Verizon that can on 3g and 4g.

try updating your prl or getting rid of sprint proxies and try to push corporate sprint prls on your phone
