Western express promotes unsafe driving!!!

some of werners trainers are "certified to give the road test. When I worked for them in 2005 my trainer told me on my last day of training that sometime that day he would be watching me to give me a road test.. This is also the same trainer who got me in Dallas when I have never driven a big truck other then in the 3 week school and about 20 miles out of Dallas he went in the sleeper and to sleep. I thought that was very unprofessional to go to sleep with in the first 1/2 of a brand new driver

 

I don't see anything in your post that proves that Western Express promotes unsafe driving. What kind of response did you expect? Were they supposed to bring you in and make you their safety director? Troll post!

 

No, Al, they were supposed to give a poop, instead of throwing the notes in the trashcan.

 

When did that happen? They took his info, said they would give to the appropriate person. I don't care about Western Express one way or the other, but it sounds like they did what most companies would do. I guess the OP was hoping they would be more impressed. I am sure they get calls like his a lot if it's a decent sized company.

 

I've made that call, and I've taken that call... and I got involved. Perhaps the OP wasn't impressed with the rubber stamp mentality, and though they should have gotten more excited.

Does ANYONE KNOW what Western Express did when they got the phone call? Or,is everyone just making stuff up now,in their own minds,and then decide to post?

 

I am thinking.....whatever happened has probably been addressed or not....in the 4 months since the post was done and the thread opened!

 

Are you expecting us to think this through....research the data...analyze the data....come to a conclusion....form a committee for final analysis....then post our thought out, well rounded opinion, based on said research, analysis, and study?

C'mon....that would involve something known as work and common sense!

 

Oh yeah...Well then,I think it is a trucking industry shame Western Express promotes this,and they should be put out of business IMMEDIATELY..

 

No company promotes unsafe driving but having worked for them I will admit this: they plain don't give a ####!
