I went for the first day a couple weeks ago... i believe it was july 5th? then i had to take a leave of absence. I plan on talking to Gordon trucking ( GTI ) when i complete school, as they have a terminal on arrow just past the 15freeway in my city. I'll dig up my old post and link it in an edit
EDIT: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...chools/147461-advanced-school-of-driving.html
Above is my post requesting information about the school which turned into my reviewing of the school as i go through it. The leave of absence stands for 6months and there is no re-schedule fee's from what the office lady told me

Not sure if Juan is still working there, and jarhead is not the only one who thinks juan is a good trainer. Allow Me, a staff member for this forum also asked about Juan specifically. I'm not sure if hes still working there but I will note it on my first update post in my thread.
Boston, best of luck to you sorry this happend. But you went through CRST, CRST is the one charging you 4k. You choose company sponsored training, i don't think ASD has anything to do with what you owe. I've heard enough bad reviews about CRST to know steer clear of them at all costs, your story is similar to many others getting screwed by them. hope everything works out for you -

Im currently in my 4th week of training at Advance Schol of Driving. Referred thru the VA and the Employment office. All training paid for by the Workforce Investment Act. Hasnt cost me one thin dime. From the first visit until now, last day of school, testing at the DMV on Monday, it has been a great experience. The equipment is quite sufficient for the training. Driving a 2007 Freightliner on the road and for skills training and will test in the same truck. Vickie, Tiffany, and Charlie, the office staff, were great in assisting me in any way they could. The instructors, Andrew Bither was my driving instructor, and Jim instructed me in the art of Pre-trip inspection and COLA brake test, were great. All the other instructors were also polite, respectful, knowlegable and always available to answer any questions I had. I didn't go through any company pre-hire so I am looking forward to the employment assistance the school provides for graduates. A top notch program for people who go there with the mindset to learn at a quick pace and not be there to B.S. I will recommend this program and school to fellow vets and anyone else that asks about a driving school.
90125-2 and Jarhed1964 Thank this.
