I like being paid, by the hour, to drive around and listen to podcasts, audio books, college courses. Don't call me a nerd or I'll hit you with my pocket protector.:biggrin_2559:

When I was trucking, the best thing ever was to have my dog in the truck with me. I really loved being a paid tourist, too. Wouldn't have been able to see so many places any other way.

The best part is seeing the country. Not many get to do it. Getting to see the different sunsets is even better.

Not to mention all the different kinds of people you get to meet.

I liked driving up in the woods early in the morning and seeing a herd of Elk in a clearing off in the distance.

Winter time across Wyoming, blizzard conditions with whiteouts, 6 inch thick ice for 300 miles. Chaining up as per Caltrans order to go over Donner Summit on wet roads. A/C breaking in July coming out of Coachella Ca when it's 115 degrees out. Getting stuck behind a 63 mph truck trying to pass a 62 mph truck. Having to be away from home when emergencies happen, or to miss those special days that happen only once in a life time. (Baby's first step, first words). I could go on with a ton more but I think you get the idea.
