Ipass violators receive pictures of their plate only, when they are ticketed! I know because I ran out of cash on the Illinois toll road and my boss received the ticket, which I of course had to pay.:biggrin_25511:

True, but I was referring to the red light cameras.

In Houston, Texas the answer is yes. The city got into bed with a red light camera vendor whom installed cameras. They snap the shot and a cop looks at the photo......if he says you ran it then you get a letter demanding $75.00 or ID the driver / owner and mail it back.

Good part is it don't go on your record. You never have to show your license, just your cash.

A little off course, but get a inspection violation in LA and you have to wait for a ticket in the mail.

Info was released recently about mail in fines being voluntary in CA I think it was. And not long ago the use of video cameras for the purpose of issuing tickets was deemed unlawful in SC. Y'all remember hearing about that. It was set up on I-95 around Ridgeland I think.
