If you are not sure about this career choice (CRST) prayer is a good start. Call them and stay home for another week and think this move through. To be this unsure about it at this juncture is not a good sign.

I worked for CRST 11 years ago, only way you can make money is if you become a lead driver. They don't make enough valium for me to do that . RUN for your life.

We, my wife and I worked for them for 14 months, the reason we did was it was one of the few who would let me train her. I had over 30 yrs experience. Even scheider had stopped letting husbands train wives right them. well we went gung ho at it, stayed out 3-4-5-6 weeks at a time. They loved us, we got team of the quarter, they paid for a 4 star hotel room, banquet dinner, drinks, treated us like gold. They also after that was very liberal with our time off. The whole time we were there heard everyone else's woes and troubles with the company. We cannot explain why some are treated so badly. We can only think that we were treated good because we worked our ##### off. But we made about 1000 a week each. I started out at 41 or 41 cpm, she 33 cpm. then got raises at 6 months and 1yr. after 14 months we bought our own truck and leased on with a small flatbed carrier. It may be attitude, it could be rough luck, who knows why some have stayed with them for 5, 10, even 20 years. but they have. We used them a stepping stool to get my wife experience. But in turn they got us who was one of their hardest working teams they had.

You can read a lot of ###### on here about a lot of companies, and I believe some of it, but every company is not for everyone. I heard lots of stories about how awful some of the others are. Most of the known name haulers, all have some crap wrong with them. Stick with and get experience with one of them and then get out and find a smaller company.
Plus anyone who can, do not take their schooling, that is where they all get you indebted to them and then pay u less per mile. Go to who ever with your cdl in hand and if possible your own trainer. Good luck chuck
